The Local Area
We are set in the idyllic village of Chesham Bois (a protected conservation area) and a stones throw from Amersham and Old Amersham. We are on the border of the Chiltern Hills- which offers outstanding beauty- while also being very close to central London and Oxford- a perfect resting place for business commuters!
This lovely quaint town, just a 5-minute car ride away is as quintessential English as you are going to find. It dates back to the 15th Century and used to be an Coaching Inn town. Old Amersham also offers an array of shops which are all very characterful and lovely to wander around. The lovely choice in restaurants and cafe is also an attractive point of Old Amersham too; 'Grocer's 91' cafe in the town is popular with people from the local area. 'St Mary's Church' is also lovely to visit and they often have a bandstand on a Sunday. There are also your classic branded restaurants like Coté and Ask, but if you're looking for something more special then the Michelin star restaurant 'The Artichoke' will have to be the spot you hit, it is well-renowned in and outside the area.
